Overview
Application Performance Monitor (APM) is an application performance management platform that provides distributed application topology query and performance analysis capabilities. It monitors the four golden metrics of applications (request count, QPS, latency, error rate) and locates issues through traced call chain details, thus ensuring comprehensive system availability and stability.
Activation and billing
Application Performance Monitor (APM) is a paid product. You need to activate it in the APM module before use. The product is currently in public beta. We will send notification via email, SMS and in-site messages before formal billing begins.
Product advantages
- Easy to use: After activation, applications can be quickly onboarded following the access process, gaining out-of-the-box observability capabilities
- Multi-language support: Supports major programming languages such as Java, Go, and Python.
- Embrace open source ecosystem: Support the industry-standard OpenTelemetry
- Comprehensive features: Provide application topology, Trace Explorer, API analysis, SQL analysis, exception analysis, log analysis and other comprehensive application performance monitor capabilities to help you quickly locate online performance issues
Core Capabilities
- Application performance real-time monitoring aggregation: Track user requests across the entire application, aggregate real-time monitor data, and support multi-dimensional monitoring including application probability, API analysis, SQL analysis, exception analysis, and associated log analysis. Achieve precise monitoring via four golden metrics (request count, QPS, latency, error rate).
- Real-time anomaly alarm: Set alarm trigger rules for key application performance metrics and notify through multiple channels (phone, SMS, email, WeChat, DingTalk, Feishu, etc.). In case of monitoring metric anomalies, users receive alarm notifications immediately, enabling timely fault resolution to prevent losses due to delayed detection. (Coming soon. Stay tuned.)
- Distributed topology dynamic discovery: Automatically detect application logic topology, visually displays upstream/downstream dependencies, and support real-time data drilling for comprehensive analysis of application performance metrics
- Call chain analysis: Automatically constructs detailed paths for each request in a microservices architecture, supporting multi-dimensional custom queries of request chains. Quickly pinpoints slow or abnormal traces and identifies root causes through detailed chain analysis.
