We are committed to maintaining your trust, abiding by the law and by our commitments to you, and doing our utmost to ensure the security and proper use of your personal information. Meanwhile, we solemnly undertake that we will, in accordance with mature industry security standards, adopt corresponding security protection measures to safeguard your personal information.
I.How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
We will process your personal information strictly in accordance with the requirements of laws and regulations and the personal information processing rules that we provide to you. In particular, where sensitive personal information is involved, we will, prior to collection, obtain your separate consent through pop-ups or similar means. Corresponding device permissions will not be enabled by default. When important or sensitive device permissions are involved, we will, when you use the corresponding business function, enable the permissions only after obtaining your separate consent through pop-ups or similar means; after permissions are enabled, you may at any time disable such permissions in your device’s system-permission settings; if you do not agree to enable the permissions corresponding to a certain business function, we will no longer provide that business function, but this will not affect the normal use of other unrelated business functions.
We collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:
- Personal information processing activities necessary for user registration/log-in
The Baidu AI Cloud Marketing Content Creation Platform uses Baidu’s unified account system for products and services—namely, the Baidu Account. When you register a Baidu Account, you must provide us with at least an account name, mobile phone number and/or email address, and set a password. If you only need to use basic services that can be used without logging in—such as browsing and search—you have the right not to register as our user and not to provide the foregoing information.
To comply with mandatory requirements under current laws and regulations or where necessary to use specific product functions, when you use certain of our specific products that require you to fill in information already provided at account registration (such as a mobile phone number), for your convenience we may by default display the mobile phone number and other related information bound to your Baidu Account; you may modify such information according to the relevant product function. So that you may have a consistent experience across Baidu products based on the same account, your follow and be-followed records in one Baidu product may be recorded under your Baidu Account and displayed when you log in to other related products; this service is implemented based on the “aggregation and fusion” clause, but does not constitute a necessary obligation of Baidu.
In addition to identifying you, we will also use registration information in other service-related functional scenarios. For example, we may use the collected information (such as your mobile phone number and email address) to communicate or interact with you directly; if we, or companies that use the Baidu account system, detect suspicious activity (for example, an attempt to log in to your Baidu Account from an unusual location), we may send you a notice; or we, or companies that use the Baidu account system, may contact you to let you know of upcoming changes or improvements to services provided to you, and to invite you to experience new products.
To ensure the security of your account and property and to carry out risk control and prevention, when you register/log in to an account we will collect your device information and information related to the registration/log-in environment (including IMEI, IDFA, ICCID, device name, device model, operating system version, Wi-Fi information BSSID/SSID, and IP address information). In some products you may also use third-party accounts (such as WeChat, Weibo, or QQ) to log in. In such cases, you will authorize the product to obtain public information you have registered under that third-party account (including your nickname, avatar, and other information you authorize).
In some products we provide you with the “one-click log-in” option. You may choose to log in via one-click log-in, which is provided by mobile carriers; if you select this method, the carrier will process your mobile phone number. Before you actively log in, we cannot obtain your plaintext mobile phone number.
To meet mandatory requirements under laws and regulations, to provide products or Services as necessary, or at your request to enhance the level of account protection, you will be required—when using certain Services or where you have additional needs—to provide your real name, national ID number, and facial information to complete real-name verification for your account. If you do not complete real-name verification, your ability to use features that require such verification may be affected. To verify the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide, or to safeguard your account, we may compare and verify the real-name information you submit to Baidu against your corresponding information held by institutions permitted under laws and regulations or by institutions authorized by government authorities. To protect your account security, ensure consistency of account identity, and provide you with convenient services, once your Baidu account has completed real-name verification, the above real-name information will serve as the common authentication information for that account across all products that integrate Baidu Account services. To protect your personal information, do not transfer or lend your account to others. If we need to process your personal information beyond the scope described above, unless otherwise provided by laws and regulations, we will obtain your separate consent in accordance with legal requirements.
- Personal information processing activities necessary to provide the Services
Based on the specific service content you select, in the course of providing services we may collect relevant personal information regarding your use of the products and/or services (including how you use them) in order to achieve the service purposes. Where certain services are jointly provided to you by Baidu and third parties, we and such third parties may, as necessary to provide the services to you, jointly process your personal information.
The categories and content of personal information necessary to provide services are determined by the specific service content and functions you enable, including:
Personal image and facial data When you create a digital persona on the Baidu AI Cloud Marketing Content Creation Platform, we will collect your facial photos or videos to generate your digital persona clone. This information is used only for creating a digital persona image within the Platform and will not be used for other purposes. By using your facial data, we will create a digitized “digital human” image that you can use to participate in video production, live‑streaming, or conversational interactions with other users on the Platform.
Voice data When you use the Baidu AI Cloud Marketing Content Creation Platform, to clone your voice we may collect your voice samples. Voice data may be collected via recordings or other forms of voice input. Your voice will be used to generate a digital persona voice similar to your own. Through this voice‑synthesis technology, you can generate personalized voice outputs or participate in video, live‑streaming, and conversational activities.
Digital persona video and content‑generation data After your digital human is generated on the Baidu AI Cloud Marketing Content Creation Platform, we will—based on your requests or instructions—use your image and voice to generate digital persona videos, live streams, or conversational content. The digital persona videos you generate can be used for personal display, social sharing, Platform live‑streaming, or interactive conversations within the Platform.
Personal image and facial data, voice data, and digital persona video and content‑generation data constitute sensitive personal information. You may at any time cancel the Platform’s authorization to collect your biometric information and other sensitive personal information; however, after cancellation you may be unable to use the foregoing services or functions based on biometric or other sensitive personal information, or be unable to achieve the intended effects of such services, but this will not affect your normal use of other business functions on the Baidu AI Cloud Marketing Content Creation Platform that do not require biometric or other sensitive personal information.
The Baidu AI Cloud Marketing Content Creation Platform will from time to time launch operational activities for newly introduced services and functions. If a newly introduced service needs to process your personal information or request device system permissions and you have not previously granted authorization/consent, we will obtain your consent separately; where the processing involves sensitive personal information, we will obtain your separate consent.
Product usage information We may record information that you voluntarily provide or retain when using our products and/or services—for example, text, images, and audio‑video information that you voluntarily post, provide as feedback, comment on, or upload; and contact information you submit when participating in operations activities of other products.
Device information This may include attributes of your terminal device (for example, the end user’s hardware model, operating system version, device configuration, device identifiers such as IMEI, IMSI, MAC, IDFA, IDFV, MEID, OAID, ICCID, Android ID, hardware serial number), device connection information (for example, the type of browser, telecom carrier, the language used, and Wi‑Fi information), and device status information (for example, the list of installed applications and device‑sensor information).

- Personal information processing activities necessary for automated decision‑making and personalized recommendations
Within the Baidu AI Cloud Marketing Content Creation Platform, and provided that all personal information remains under the control of the same business entity and our data-security safeguards and management level are not diminished, you agree that we may—by ourselves or through entrusted processors—apply technologies to aggregate and combine, identify and analyze, profile, or otherwise further process the personal information you actively or passively provide within the Platform, and generate labels that reflect your behavioral habits, interests, or your economic, health, credit status, or identity characteristics (collectively, “Tag Information”). We will use the Tag Information in specific scenarios and for specified purposes to carry out automated decision-making and to deliver personalized displays and/or commercial marketing information to you, and we will ensure the secure processing of information after aggregation and combination. To provide you with a consistent service experience, we may—upon obtaining your authorization—associate your device information or telephone number with your Baidu account, and associate and aggregate personal information that the same account actively or passively provides across different devices.
Personalized recommendations: We may, based on elements such as device information, log information, Tag Information, and location information, automatically calculate, comprehensively analyze, and predict—via computer algorithm models—the information content or functional services that may interest you, in order to carry out personalized recommendation activities. In personalized recommendation services, we will also provide convenient refusal (opt‑out) methods and the like to enable you to exercise control.
Automated decision‑making: Automated decision‑making activities likewise rely on our processing of Tag Information. Automated decisions may be used in different specific scenarios, and some decisions made by automated means may have a significant impact on your rights and interests; in such cases, you have the right, via the contact methods described in the privacy policies of specific products or services, to request that we provide an explanation, and you also have the right to refuse decisions made solely by automated means. We will provide appropriate remedies to safeguard your lawful rights and interests—for example, explaining the logic of automated decision‑making and its impact on you, or introducing human review to re‑examine the correctness of automated decision results.

We will first require the provider of personal information to specify the source of the personal information and will verify the lawfulness of that source, and we will ensure that we have a sufficient legal basis to process your personal information. For example, if we process your personal information on the basis of consent and the processing activities necessary for our business exceed the scope of consent previously obtained, we will obtain your consent within a reasonable period after obtaining the personal information or before processing it, or procure your consent through the provider of the personal information.
- Other Processing Purposes
