Physical Express Tunnel (ET)
The physical ET is a network transmission service with high performance, high security and physical isolation, to provide users with fast and reliable connection mode of Baidu AI Cloud. Users can extend the local data center to Baidu AI Cloud through ET, to establish a high-speed, stable and secure Internet connection tunnel between IDC and Baidu AI Cloud.
At present, Baidu AI Cloud supports the intra-city and inter-city ET access of all regions sold. In accordance with relevant laws and regulations of China, the compliance ET operator with relevant qualification needs to hold the business license of "A26 Domestic Communication Facilities Service Business" and "A14 Internet Data Transmission Business" issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. At present, the compliance ET operators with relevant qualification include China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, China Broadcast Network and CITIC Application Service Provider Co., Ltd. on the Chinese mainland. The access mode is user self-built: After users apply for the ET construction, the operators are responsible for accessing ET to Baidu AI Cloud. Users are responsible for the routine operation and maintenance of user self-built ET, and Baidu AI Cloud is responsible for the construction and operation of lines in the local data center.

Express Tunnel (ET)
ET is a virtual link divided on the physical ET to connect users to Baidu AI Cloud VPC and IDC.
ET Gateway
The ET gateway is the interface between the local VPC and the physical ET, whose backend is connected to the specified ET. When users configure the route table for the physical ET connection in the local VPC, the next hop shall point to corresponding ET gateway.
