2024 Upgrade Notice

Official Default Domain and Accelerated Domain Discontinue Support for apk and ipa File Downloads

To ensure the overall security and stability of our services, BOS will implement the following service adjustments starting at 00:00:00 Beijing Time on November 25, 2024. Please carefully review the upgrade details below and adjust your application configurations in a timely manner to ensure business continuity.

Key Changes:

1. Newly Created Buckets (Effective November 25, 2024):

   • For any apk or ipa files accessed via the default official BOS domain (e.g., bucketname.bj.bcebos.com) using URL signature authentication or anonymous access, requests will be blocked.
   • Error code: DownloadForbidden
   • HTTP status code: 400

2. All Buckets with CDN Accelerated Domains (Effective November 25, 2024):

   • If the CDN accelerated domain feature (e.g., bucketname.cdn.bcebos.com) is enabled after the above date, accessing apk or ipa files via the accelerated domain will also trigger the same restriction.
   • Error code: DownloadForbidden
   • HTTP status code: 400

Alternative Solution:
To download apk or ipa files stored in your bucket, use a custom domain name. For detailed steps to bind a custom domain name, please refer to:

Update on BOS Bucket Domain Request Styles

To ensure service security and stability, starting from June 1, 2024, BOS will modify the request style for official domain names as follows:

• Newly created buckets: The path-style request style will no longer be supported. The virtual-hosting request style will be enabled by default.
• Existing buckets (created before June 1, 2024): The path-style request style will continue to be supported for official domain name access. However, we recommend switching existing buckets using the path-style to the virtual hosting style.
